Revisional Surgery
Revision of Previous Bypass or Sleeve
If you have had a previous gastric bypass or gastric sleeve, either open or laparoscopic, and have experienced weight regain and/or re-emergence of your diabetes, hypertension or obstructive sleep apnea you may be a candidate to have your surgery revised or converted to a biliopancreatic diversion with a duodenal switch (BPD/DS). The BPD/DS is a powerful malabsorptive procedure which should result in significant weight loss with elimination of your comorbidities. You can learn more about this procedure under our BPD/DS page. Consider making an appointment with one of our bariatric surgeons to see if you are a candidate for this type of revisionary surgery.
